Top of the Class again!!

The results are in and yet again it has been a perfect year for students of St. Joseph’s Brass Band with their Music for Youth project excelling. Once again they have had all their students pass the grade exams they had entered. Of the 25 students entered for brass exams there were 4 distinctions, 8 merits and 13 passes. This continues the 100% pass rate in Musical Performance that the Music for Youth project has had since its inception. The students of this year can feel extremely proud of themselves to have excelled, as can their families and their tutors; Noel Barr, Noel Barr Jr. and Mark Rouse who have, without question, prepared all the students competently.

The direction of the tutors is to help all their students to progress further in their own personal and musical development, as well as constantly being on the lookout for new emerging talent. As usual the band will be holding an open night for existing members, in addition to new members, wishing to enrol for lessons for the next academic term. Details of this are soon to follow.

Finally, from all members of St. Joseph’s Brass Band, congratulations to all students who have proved once again that Music for Youth does work and that indeed practice really does make perfect!
