Welcome to our site as we celebrate 63 years together!
St Joseph’s Brass Band was formed in Strabane, Northern Ireland in 1947.
The motto of the band, ‘Bringing Music to Life‘, can be taken quite literally as we play at many different functions including marches, concerts, church services, garden fetes, contests, wedding ceremonies and indeed any function that the public may request the band services for.
Membership is currently around 100 – inclusive of our Senior band, Intermediate band and Junior band, which is part of our highly successful ‘Music For Youth’ programme. The band also offers tuition in keyboards, percussion and guitar.
Membership of the band is open to all and we are always on the lookout for new players so if you feel that you would like to join the band please come along and make yourself known or simply drop us an email with a contact name and number. You will find us a very friendly and welcoming band based on our long tradition of approaching music-making primarily as a pursuit to be enjoyed.
